Yes. Our Body Buttah candles are intentionally formulated for topical use, transforming as they melt into a warm, moisturizing body oil.

Light your candle and allow a small pool to form. Extinguish the flame, then carefully pour a small amount of the warm oil into your hand and massage into the skin.

Always patch test before first use and discontinue use if irritation occurs. Never pour hot wax directly onto the skin.

Traditional candles are created primarily to fragrance a space. Our Body Buttah candles are made to tend both atmosphere and body.

Crafted with coconut apricot wax, herb-infused oils, and carefully selected essential oils, they begin as candlelight and melt into moisturizing body oil for massage and ritual care.

Light something. Tend the body. Remember the altar is you.

The Blacksence creates small-batch botanical body care, home fragrance, teas, and herbal goods rooted in Black Southern tradition, plant knowledge, ritual, and remembrance.

Our work is connected to Earth Medicine Farms, our family's land in rural South Carolina, where we're restoring soil, growing food and medicine, and working toward incorporating more farm-grown botanicals into what we make.

This ain't self-care for trends. It's sacred care.

Keep herbal oils and salves in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, moisture, and excessive heat.

Because each formulation is different, follow any storage and use-by guidance included with your individual product. Changes in color or scent can occur naturally in botanical products over time.

Most Blacksence tea blends make approximately 10–12 servings, depending on how strongly you prepare your tea.

Start with approximately one teaspoon per cup and follow the preparation instructions included with your blend. Many blends can be steeped a second time, too—because we believe in getting all the goodness the plants have to give. 

Our offerings are handcrafted in small batches, and some are poured, blended, or prepared to order.

Please allow approximately 5–7 business days for processing before shipment. Processing may take a little longer during holidays, launches, and restocks.
